Jim founded Orthotics West in 1982 and has been providing care to patients throughout western Massachusetts for over 40 years. Prior to that, he was a partner at National Rehabilitative Services Inc., one of the areas original providers of orthotic devices. He also worked as a staff orthotist for Shriners Hospital for Children and Newington Children’s Hospital. His formal training came from certificate programs at both New York and Northwestern Universities. In 1979, he earned his certification in orthotics from the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics. Jim is well versed in all areas of care but specializes in spinal and lower extremity bracing. Living in Holyoke, he enjoys wood and metal working, kayaking, fishing and visiting other countries with his wife Donna, former owner of the Pink Petal.
